Gender, Discourse and the Self in Literature : Issues in Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong by Kwok-kan Tam and Terry Siu-han Yip is a collection of critical essays on literature and gender studies. With contributions of fourteen scholars, this book discusses the gender issues in literature in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and explores the strategies of gender construction of the authors and film makers. It provides unique resources for gender studies for scholars of China as well as of other countries.
