The construct and application of universities performance evaluation data warehouse

This article use a universities' evaluation index system which based on a balanced scorecard theoretical, designs a multidimensional data model for analysis and designs a universities performance evaluation data warehouse, which makes data and processes separate. Based on this data warehouse to evaluate, the evaluation results are used to help managers to rapidly obtain the accurate information about the operation of the universities, finds out the differences and problems of universities. The multi-dimensional analysis system provides multi-dimensional and multiple perspective observation methods and realize the leap from traditional information system to supportive policy-making system, the aim is to construct a supportive policy-making environment that is advantageous to the university performance evaluation.
