Based on the process principle of eletromagnetic continuous casting clad steel, a mathematical model has been developed to analyze the two grades of molten steel flow and composition distribution in the mold. The low Reynolds number turbulent model was used to calculate turbulent viscosity, and the fictitious solidified shell was used to simplify the solidification calculation. The two-zone electromagnetic brake was proposed to suppress the jet depth of molten steel based on the simulated results. Comparing between the experimental results and systematical numerical analysis shows the reliability of the model proposed.
