摘要
This paper aims to investigate the medical students' recognition on the physician-patient relationship and make recommendations for relevant courses. We used homemade questionnaire on different professional and different grade students of Gannan Medical University medical students in cluster random sampling. The 800 copies of questionnaire were issued and 792 taken back. Results show that there was no significant difference on knowledge of the physician-patient relationship for different professional students while significant difference for different grade students, the 63.3%similar to 70.8% first-grade students didn't know much about the meaning and importance of the physician-patient relationship while the 64.6%similar to 68.5% third-grade students knew that. Medical students' recognition on the physician-patient relationship mainly came from outside classroom, only 8.3%similar to 12.5% from classroom. The 56.9% medical students thought that the trust crisis between doctor and patient was the primary cause leading to medical disputes, which was the had a negative impact on the view of their future careers. The 52.6% medical students thought that lack of communication between doctor and patient was the important cause leading to medical disputes. The 82.5% medical students thought that improvement of the physician-patient relationship was related with courses teaching include basic medical and clinic medical. These results indicate that it is necessary for medical students to strengthen education of the knowledge about the physician-patient relationship, which is related with careers, employment and medical practice. Medical college should start educating students from the basis combining basic courses and clinical courses and upgrade their ability of improving the physician-patient relationship.
