摘要：
A four-year study on application of reflective mulch (Extenday) in pistachio production showed that Extenday can increase yields and returns. Economic analysis showed that cost for mulch fitting is almost offset by increased returns in the first year. Assuming the mulch can be used for three years, it produces profit in the second and third years. The mulch increases temperature in the application area under direct sunlight in days with temperatures from 10 degrees to 35 degrees C. The mulch does not increase temperature in the night or during extremely cold and hot days. Light measurement shows that the mulch increases reflective light significantly.
