摘要：

In this paper we outline the structure and the mission of the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, with reference to the education programs of the laboratory. We describe in detail the Italian Summer Students program at the laboratory, the goals and the history of the program, the organisation, and the recruitment of the trainees. We also report the statistics relative to the last three years of the program.
