摘要
The much-anticipated English translation of Children's Dreams is a welcome addition to the corpus of Jung's published writings. The informal style of Jung's spoken word is preserved as Jung analyzes childhood dreams reported by adults or analysands. Jung's summary of his dream analysis method, which is presented in the first chapter, is a valuable introduction for anyone interested in the dreams of children or adults. Jung's general schema for dreams based on the dramatic structure of the Greek mystery dramas is described. The seminar members, who included Marie-Louise von Franz, Aniela Jaffe, Margaret Sachs, Jolande Jacobi, Hans Baumann, and others, did much to draw Jung out in their attempt to understand analytical psychology, and his exchanges with them bring the seminar to life, almost as if it were happening today.
