Synthesis and Characterization of a Dansyl-Based Fluorescent Probe

摘要
A new fluorescent probe bearing dansyl fluorophore was synthesized and characterized in this paper, and its response towards metal ions was examined by fluorescence spectroscopy. The crystal structure of the perchlorate salt of probe showed that N(4) of the benzimidazole ring was found to be protonized. The experimental results showed that the sensor exhibited good selectivity for Fe3+, forming a 1:1 stoichiometric complexation species with Fe3+. CCDC: 867156.
