摘要
Server virtualization is one of the key technologies in Cloud data center. This research is aimed to optimize the energy consumption in the Cloud data center by using server virtualization technique. A five layered model and virtualization enhancement technique is proposed to optimize the energy consumption in a Cloud data center. The result shows that using the proposed model and technique the energy consumption is minimized "between 21.6% and 29.7% which shows the energy saving up to USD $ 30000 per year as compared with the existing range of USD $ 40000 per year".
