Study of Traffic Flow Measuring System Based on Machine Vision in Intelligent Transport

摘要
This paper introduces the design of intelligent traffic control system based on machine vision. The system is composed of camera, video acquisition module, DSP control processing module, semaphore driver module, power supply module, clock and reset modules and signal lights etc. The system timely takes vehicles video images of the intersection using the video camera. The received digital video signal will be sent to DSP control processing modules through video acquisition module, which calculate traffic flow by video image processing and control traffic lights using intelligent control algorithm based on traffic flow. The paper puts forward intelligent control strategy of the traffic light, which mainly includes fuzzification algorithm, fuzzy control rules and defuzzification algorithm. Design the system hardware using DSP technology and write the corresponding software in the paper, which realizes the function of real-time intelligent control traffic lights based on traffic flow of the intersection.
