Controlled streaming of video over the Internet

Multimedia content transfer over the internet is becoming increasingly important with a large penetration of smart phones PDAs, Laptops and IPTV. The interfaces supporting real-time applications such as Tele-education, entertainment, tele-medicine, remote monitoring and control are consuming a lot of bandwidth. All these applications require reliable streaming of the data over the internet, adhering to the assured Quality of Service (QoS).
