On a Singular Logistic Equation with the p-Laplacian

摘要：
We prove the existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for the boundary value problems [GRAPHICS] , where Delta(p)u = div(vertical bar del u vertical bar(p-2)del u), p > 1, Omega is a bounded domain in R-n with smooth boundary partial derivative Omega, alpha is an element of (0, 1), g : Omega x (0, infinity) -> R is possibly singular at u = 0. An application to a singular logistic-like equation is given.
