摘要：
Renewable energy is one of the leading global trends in the modern world. Geothermal energy has a huge potential. The exploitation of geothermal deposits is aimed not only at generating electricity, the hot waters of the earth's interior are used in balneology, for heat supply of residential and industrial premises, technologies of circulation systems are being developed that allow extracting the heat of dry rocks. Geothermal fluids are attracting the attention of researchers as a source of valuable chemical components and compounds. The article examines the current trends in the development of geothermal resources in Russia and the world.
