With the development of information technology, embedded systems have become a very hot topic in IT industry. The paper introduces the definition of embedded system, and discusses the structure and characteristics of embedded system. From the current embedded involves the application field, expounds the present situation of the development of embedded, anticipates the vast developing prospects of embedded System industrial in our country.
