摘要：

The economic literature on the impact of trade restrictions on national economies has been analyzed in the research paper. The analysis of dynamics of changes in the value of Russian import from 1994 to 2018 has been conducted. The economic growth of the countries on which Russia imposed sanctions for the period from 2013 to 2017 as well as the changes in the value of import from these countries have been analyzed. The analysis of the structure of import commodities items to relation of which Russia imposed an embargo has been conducted. Based on the largest impact on the volume of imports and structural shifts, some commodity items have been identified, according to which the geographical structure of imports has been analyzed. In terms of the considered commodity items, the countries, which were the leaders among suppliers in the Russian Federation in 2013, have been identified. Then the analysis of changes in the export of "sanctioned" goods has been carried out to identify the adaptation measures to Russian trade restrictions.
