Self-Assessment of the Maturity of Management Information Systems-Business Alignment

The objective of the paper is to present the tool for self-assessment of the maturity of alignment of management information systems with business activities. There are also presented the results of the research conducted in Polish enterprises using the survey designed. The results indicate that large enterprises are characterized by a higher level of the maturity of alignment of management information systems with business activities than small and medium enterprises. Another conclusion confirms the existence of a gap in the perception of the maturity of alignment of management information systems with business activities by managers of enterprises and IT specialists, therefore, the opinions of both groups should be taken into account in the assessment.
