Simulation of Flow Field of Synthetic Jet Actuator Based on Artificial Muscle Dielectric Elastomer

摘要
Low noise, low consumption and high propulsion efficiency are essential characters for new generation of bionic underwater propulsion technology. Based on the biomimetic mechanism, this paper proposes a synthetic jet actuator driven by dielectric elastomer (DE), with finite element simulation of the flow field in the working process. The results show that the fluid jet features the characteristics of synthetic jet, which can form a series of vortex rings, and the jet maintains its directivity under the action of the vortex ring. The research results in this paper have a good application prospect in the field of new generation for synthetic jet actuation as potential biomimetics.
