LEARNING OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE USING COURSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: THE EXAMPLE OF THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS, UNIVERSITY OF SARAJEVO

摘要
Fast progress of ICT (Information and communication technology) learning in developed countries, across all the spheres of industry and education, was a sufficient reason in recent years for the initiative in the field of this method of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. E-learning is a process that involves a wide range of applications, which can be distributed via Internet in a learning environment, in the form of audio/video, multimedia and dynamic materials. Course Management System (CMS) it is one of the possible ways to implement e-learning. We will present usage and perception toward the CMS on an example of students from Faculty of Economics and Business in Sarajevo (technically most developed Faculty in Bosnia and Herzegovina). Our Faculty is using Moodle CMS system, and we will present advantages and disadvantages of the use of the CMS system for education purposes. This paper contains the results of research on attitudes and perceptions of students who learn English via Internet. Assessment of these attitudes and differences between the attitudes of various groups of the student sample will be performed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Students' perception towards the CMS will be estimated through the analysis of these seven components: voluntariness, relative advantage, compatibility, easy of use, result demonstrability, visibility and trialability. The difference between user's perception will be estimated through several demographic characteristics of students (level of knowledge of English language, year in school, age, gender, etc.) The analysis will be conducted on a sample of students in all years at the School of Economics and Business in Sarajevo, using SPSS 16 software tools
