Study on Strategies for Collaborative Innovation of Technology-based Micro Enterprises

With deepening reform of market economy in China and implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, a large number of Technology-based Micro Enterprises (TMEs) springs up. Currently, they have become an important strength for promoting China's economic development. But their actual innovation situation is not optimistic because of the limited capital, technology and talents. This paper presents the necessity of collaborative innovation for TMEs by analyzing the states quo and difficulties they are confronted with: weak implementation of innovation policies, lack of favorable financing environment and lack of innovative talents. And it proposes countermeasures from four aspects, i.e. TMEs can engage in collaborative innovation among themselves. They can do it with large and medium-sized enterprises. Also they can collaborate with the government and colleges and institutions or technological intermediaries. These parties can provide resources that the TMEs don't have. This paper provides references for collaborative innovation of TMEs in China.
