Singapore's Housing Security Policies on the Construction of Affordable Housing in China

The housing problem is an important issue concerning the people livelihood. However China's housing prices remain high, and the low - income groups still face the predicament of housing difficulties and even inability of house affording. In comparison, there is a big gap between Singapore's housing concept of "shelter for all" and China's housing reality. Residence is an important component of civil rights and it is the government's duty to ensure the people who can not afford housing have room to live in. In order to solve the housing problems of low - income families, our government has increased the construction of affordable housing. However there are still many difficulties and challenges in the process of affordable housing supplies. From this sense, some successful experience can he learned from the "Home Ownership Scheme" of Singapore's housing security system, and in this paper, practical policy recommendations for the improvement ofChina' housing security system are proposed.
