摘要
This work presents the mass transfer simulation results of potassium ferri/ferrocyanide system using sodium sulfate as supporting electrolyte in a filter-press-type FM01-LC electrochemical reactor under mass-transfer controlled conditions. The following working conditions were investigated: 5/25 and 15/25 mM ferri/ferrocyanide ratio, and Reynolds numbers between 187 and 1407. The model employed herein consists of mass transfer equations coupled to hydrodynamic solution obtained from Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations by using standard k-epsilon turbulence model. The results show flow patterns and their effect on the local mass transfer rate. The integration of mass transfer flux on the electrode surface is closely consistent with experimental values of limiting current.
