摘要
Robotics is a fast developing and exciting field with multiple applications which span from robot manipulators to mobile robots. This paper presents an introductory study of wheeled mobile robots through a literature review of the main contributions to this subject. We include the main aspects to be taken into account when designing wheeled mobile robots, control problems and the corresponding solutions and, finally, the approaches proposed to render them autonomous.
