Evaluation of Environmental Policies in the Industrial Sector: the Case of the Tunisian Economy

With the development of human activity, the environment changes, or even disturbed, which directly threatens human life because of the effects that accompanied the development of polluting industries. Based on the theory on the importance of integrating environment in the strategy of industrial companies and that any awareness in this area is reflected in actions for the environment, we wonder through this research on the effectiveness of environmental policies adopted by the Tunisian industrial companies. To judge the effectiveness of environmental policies in the industrial sector in Tunisia, we decomposed the work into three parts. The first will discuss the theoretical concepts related to environmental awareness and strategic actions that can be taken to protect the environment. In the second part, we present an exploratory study conducted among a sample of industrial firms to evaluate their environmental policies. The last part will focus on analysis and interpretation of the results.
