摘要
Mathematical programming methods are applied to the formulation of both optimization problems for structure at shakedown. The mathematical models suggested are in a sense universal within the given assumptions: if constraints on the rigidity of the structure are eliminated, an optional solution for cyclic plastic failure is obtained; mathematical models for monotonically increasing loading and for elastic design problems can easily be derived. The optimal design is related to the design of cross section that is based on the forces and displacement derived by solving optimization problem presented.
