Effect of Barium Titanate Particle Size on Electrical Properties of 0-3 Barium Titanate-Portland Cement Composites

摘要
In this paper, the effects of barium titanate particle size on the dielectric, ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of barium titanate (BT)-Portland cement (PC) composites were investigated. BT of various median particle sizes (75-425m) were used at 50% by volume to produce the composites. The results show that the dielectric constant (epsilon(r)) at room temperature of BT-PC composites were found to be increased with increasing BT particle size and that the highest value for epsilon(r) of 309 was obtained when BT of 425m size was used. The ferroelectric hysteresis loops of composite materials indicate that the apparent remnant polarization of these composites increase as the BT particle size increases. Furthermore, the piezoelectric coefficient was also found to increase as BT particle size increases.
