摘要
Investigation of microstructure, hardness and corrosion resistance of as-cast Co-Cr-Ni alloys were performed with the goal to determine the region of their optimal biomedical propel-ties. The alloys were melt and cast using a vacuum arc melting. The metallographic analysis showed that only Co55Cr40Ni5 and Co60Cr30Ni10 alloys (samples 5 and 9) have a eutectic dendritic microstructure typical for commercial dental alloys. The hardness and corrosion characteristics depend oil alloy composition and their microstructure. The hardness increases with chromium content and decreases with nickel content. Samples 5 and 9 have the highest E-pit values i.e. the best corrosion resistance with the eutectic dendritic microstructure. The corrosion resistance of the alloys increases with chromium content and does not depend essentially on nickel content. It was established that the region of optimal microstructure and properties for Co-Cr-Ni alloys is much narrower than for Co-Cr-Mo alloys.
