摘要
The research work objective is to design a cascade control (CC) system with proportional integral and derivative controller as the primary controller and proportional integral controller as the secondary controller. The best optimal values for PM controller are obtained by minimizing time integral performance criteria IAE using genetic algorithm (GA). Research has been done by various researchers in designing the conventional controller for a cascade control system. An endeavor is made to replace conventional controllers in the primary loop with GA based controllers in order to improve the performance and get better disturbance rejection. In this paper, we describe a new design procedure for cascaded controller for real time process based on evolutionary algorithms. CC with two separate controllers for level and flow control, which are in general designed in two consecutive steps. To achieve the optimal compromise of cost and performance indices related to both inner and outer responses. Simulation comparison with conventional design techniques of cascade process trainer presented to show the effectiveness of the approach..The comparative results show the better performance when GA based controller is used for primary control.
