摘要
The aim of the study is to verify psychometric properties and factor structure of SIMS questionnaire (The Situational Motivational Scale), which measures Situational motivation. The questionnaire contains subscales assessing the level of External regulation, Intrinsic motivation, Identified regulation and Amotivation. The psychometric properties of the modified questionnaire for career on a 220 high school students were verified. We focused on inner consistence of the questionnaire by using Cronbach's a coefficient, the test - retest, construct and concurrent validity with the tools designed to measure Career Motivation, Vocational Identity and values. The Exploratory factor analysis of items of the questionnaire was conducted. The good psychometric qualities after the suitable modification of items of the questionnaire were found. Applying SIMS for population of the Slovak high school students in the area of career counselling can be recommended.
