Study on Relationship among Individual Work Value, Personality and Work Performance in Public Organization

摘要
The three purposes of this study are: Firstly, it is to verify whether there is a close relationship among individual work value, big-five personality in public organization and individual work performance. Secondly, the influence of work value and big-five personality on individual work performance has been checked. Finally, the proposal was raised on how to perform efficient human resource management with the effective usage of individual work value and big-five personality in public organization. In this study, personnel of different level in different departments from one municipal government in China had been investigated, and data, which were collected with total 174 validate questionnaire, were collected for positive data verification. It is shown in the study that work value has positive influence on self-growth, self-actualization, dignity, recreation, health and transportation etc. Among the individual personalities, the neuroticism has negative influence on work performance; extraversion will have a positive relation with work performance; openness will have a positive relation with work performance; while agreeableness hasn't.
