A Study on "Online plus Offline" Mixed Teaching Mode of Public English in Higher Vocational Colleges

The development of information technology has accelerated the reform and innovation of higher vocational education, and it has even gradually become the dominant form of higher vocational education. Mixed teaching is an innovation and upgrading of traditional teaching methods. By integrating the network with the traditional classroom forms, it plays an important role in improving the teaching effect which is embodying the students' main role and cultivating a strong interest. Based on this background, the author studies the advantages and specific implementation strategies of the mixed teaching mode of online and offline public English in vocational colleges. In recent years, the development of network information has gradually induced a new teaching model and concept in public English teaching in higher vocational colleges which is "online+offline" mixed teaching. This new teaching model integrates the traditional classroom form with the online classroom, and provides a variety of teaching resources for classroom teaching and also breaks the boring of traditional classrooms. Therefore, this new teaching model is likely to become the main direction of teaching reforms in public English and other major courses in higher vocational colleges. However, how to combine the advantages of mixed teaching in classroom teaching, and play an important role in improving the teaching effect needs further study.
