摘要
Diaschisis is classically defined as an inhibition of function produced by a focal disturbance in an anatomically intact portion of the brain, remote from the original seat of injury, but anatomically connected with it through fiber tracts. As described during thalamo-cortical diaschisis, this functional impairment Could lead to neurobehavioral and neuropsychological deficits. In contrast, cases of cortico-cerebellar diaschisis, which are the most reported, do not lead to significant motor features. We present a rare case of cerebello-thalamo-cortical diaschisis demonstrated with F-18 FDG PET, involving precentral cortex without clinical pyramidal syndrome.
