A Model Predictive Torque Control Method for Dual Induction Motor Drive System Fed by Indirect Matrix Converter

摘要
A novel method of model predictive torque control (MPTC) for dual induction motor drive system fed by indirect matrix converter (IMC), is proposed in this paper. Prediction models and cost function are built in this method for good performances of the drive system and power grid requirements. Especially, a simplified principle is proposed to solve the problem of huge computation, which is caused by large quantities of switching state. In ordering to decrease the number of switching states, only switching states corresponding to the adjacent voltage vectors are considered which is valid for reducing computation and switching frequency. Simulation results show that the indirect matrix converter performs well with good sinusoidal input and output currents. In addition, the input power factor is close to 1. So the independent control and good steady state/dynamic performances are realized for both induction motors.
