A Simulation Optimization Based Lean System Design Framework for ETO Manufacturing

摘要
To constitute an effective lean system for ETO manufacturing, a lean system design framework is proposed by combing value stream mapping and simulation. VSM is adopted to analyze the production system and design future state. To support decision-making of future state alternatives, simulation method is adopted to obtain quantitative evidence. An independent component OptQuest is introduced to gain optimal parameters of the system. Finally, A Hvac case study shows that the lean design framework is effective.
