摘要
A simplified model is employed to simulate vented maize starch explosions in a silo. The particle phase is considered as continuous phase that has the same velocity and temperature as the gas phase. Combustion of maize starch is modelled using an one-step non-inverse Arrhenius expression combined with Eddy Break-up model. The convective parts of the conservation equations are solved using Flux Corrected Transport (FCT) method. An explicit diffusion scheme is used to solve the diffusion parts. Some preliminary work of simulation is presented in this paper. The reduced explosion pressures have relative good agreement with the experiment data.
