摘要：

This study illustrates the significance of social capital in English language learning among rural secondary school Chinese students. The effect of social capital on the school choice and investment during the progress of English language learning for these students will be demonstrated in this article. Inhomogeneous distribution of social capital aggravates divisions and inequalities between different social classes.
