Short-Cavity Erbium-Doped Mode-Locked Fiber Laser with Tunable Pulse Repetition Frequency

摘要
We propose an Er/Yb-doped short-cavity mode-locked fiber laser. The use of semiconductor saturable absorber and fiber dichroic mirrors coated by chemical vapor deposition results in a cost-efficient compact source. Furthermore, a piezoelectric transducer allows repetition frequency tunability. Experimental results are validated by a theoretical model based on the nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE)
