Hypothesis about the introduction into Judah of the toning sacrifice Gn 2:4b-3:24; 4:1-16 and 6:5-9:17 * as the "structural axis" of Genesis 1-11

Historical-social interpretation of the myth of Adam and Eve, the history of Cain and Abel and the priestly narrative of the flood, in isolation and in its structural relationship with Genesis 1-11. The objective of the article is to propose that Gn 2,4b-3,24; 4,1-16 and 6,5-9,17* are the structural axis around which Genesis 1-11 is organized. Methodologically, rhetorical analysis was applied to the narratives evaluated. It is concluded that, at some point, the narratives were used in a context of controversy and conflict between the peasant community and the sacerdotal golah, functioning as a theological platform for the installation of the substitutionary expiatory priestly sacrifice in Jerusalem.
