Income generation from animal husbandry among tribal women

摘要
The study was conducted among 225 tribal women in 8 villages of Tamia block and 7 villages of Pipariya block of Chhindwara and Hoshangabad districts, of Madhya Pradesh respectively. Generation of income in animal husbandry (AH) was higher in roadside villages and higher the level of employment in AH, higher was the income generation from this sector. Communication behaviour, productivity of milch animals, level of aspiration and respondents' attitude toward productivity, income generation, employment generation and livestock rearing as an economic enterprise were positively and significantly correlated, whereas family size and attitude toward minor forest produce (MFP) as an economic enterprise were negatively bur significantly correlated with income generation from AH.
