摘要
Secure transmission of data is one of the biggest challenging tasks of Mobile ad hoc networks. It is due to its dynamic and infrastructure-less characteristics; the nodes are free to move in and out the transmission range of the network. The geographic based reactive routing protocols are comparatively advantageous over other reactive routing protocols because the route discovery is location based and so routing overhead is less in geographic based routing protocols. There are various security schemes developed for both geographic and non-geographic based reactive routing protocols. The secure geographic protocols are mostly anonymous in nature but still they do not provide complete anonymity against malicious nodes. In this paper, the several secure routing protocols in literature were analyzed and a new algorithm, Secure Location Aided Routing algorithm (SLAR) is proposed for secure message transmission in existing Location Aided Routing protocol (LAR). The LAR is a geographical routing protocol where the region for route discovery between the source and distance is founded before forwarding the route request packets for route discovery. SLAR is an extension of LAR where the security of LAR is enhanced by incorporating cryptographic features in it and its performance is compared in the presence and absence of malicious nodes. The analysis using NS2 shows the packet delivery ratio, throughput and end to end delay are comparatively better in SLAR at non-adversarial situations.
