A PROPOSAL FOR A RUBRIC FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF ONLINE LEARNING THROUGH VIRTUAL FORUMS IN UNIVERSITIES

摘要
We present a rubric to assess the work carried out in the training of future teachers in the context of the Master in Teacher Training at the University of Zaragoza in the subject "Context of the teaching activity" [Contexto de la Actividad Docente]. The rubric dwells upon the working proposal on virtual forums as a useful tool for learning. The rubric (Table 1) has been designed to evaluate the quality of the responses provided, the relationship with other concepts of the course, the consultation of literature sources, the number of participations, the competence in written expression as well as the interaction with other partners to promote collaborative learning. [GRAPHICS] The importance of fostering the acquisition of significant, functional and interactive learning through virtual forums is emphasised. Specific assessment is graded according to different levels of acquisition in the various aspects to be evaluated. A more enlightening view to students is promoted, so that they know in advance about some clearer and more transparent evaluation criteria, following a revision of the virtual experience during two academic years. The paper also reflects on the possibilities and limitations of this study, from the focus of ICTs and their relation to the assessment in the university context.
