On the Opportunities and Challenges of Flipped Classroom Teaching Mode to College English Teaching in China

Flipped Classroom is also called Inverted Classroom, of which refers to the teaching model that reversely arrange the process of knowledge imparting and absorbing so as to liberate teaching time. The teaching model includes three core contents: asynchronous teaching, blending teaching and personalized learning. This thesis started from the historical evolution of flipped classroom, combed three kinds of widely used teaching model both at home and abroad-Flipped Classroom Two-phase Model, Flipped Classroom Four-phase Model and Flipped Classroom Tai Ji Model, and analyzed the opportunities and challenges of flipped classroom teaching mode to college English teaching in China, so as to provide colleges with reference to promote college English teaching reform.
