Noise reduction in second derivative UV-VIS spectroscopy

摘要
The possibility of reducing the noise in second derivative d(2) epsilon(lambda)/d nu(2) without loss of spectral information is investigated. The classical procedures for noise elimination - curve smoothing or increasing the differentiation step lead to partial loss of spectral information. A simple method for noise reduction in d(2) epsilon(lambda)/d nu(2) called ''step by step'' filter is proposed.
