摘要
This paper introduces a system design methodology for the analysis and assessment of engagement simulations. An engagement simulation covers sophisticated operations of combat entities in a synthetic battlefield. The system for engagement simulations describes behaviors of combat entities, and the combat entities simulate a combat scenario. After the simulations are over, the results of the simulations must be analyzed to assess the performance of weapon systems or the effectiveness of engagement scenarios. In order to meet those requirements, the simulation system must include factors that represent the states of combat entities, such as detection probability, moving speed, and moving path. The result of a simulation can be various by the values of those factors. In this study, we define three types of effective factors and propose the construction methodology of a simulation system that represents the factors in distributed environment. The proposed simulation system analyzes the defined factors to help the assessment of simulation results
