Education excellence is still the holy grail of quality education performance that all higher education institutes (HEI) strives for. Even though Education quality systems abound, the basic strategic foci and themes are similar. Quality in itself, without using its output and outcome for planning inputs, compounded with the lack of concrete comprehensive data and information defeats the very purpose of a systematic and holistic performance management system. Using a Thai private university as a case study, this paper looks at the strategic triangularization from a systems perspective of the core systems of quality, information and planning management systems. They normally existed in their own domains independent of other systems causing a loose linkage not supporting each other thus subverting the betterment of the educational performance system. The triangularization using the 3 key reports of the annual report (AR) on performance is captured from the information management system (IMS) as the input to the quality management system (QMS) to develop the self-assessment report (SAR), the one-year-plan and budget (OYPB) through the planning management system (PMS). Two newly developed systems of the OGR (online Graduation Registration) and the SS (Secretariat System) are used to illustrate the triangularization.
