摘要
There is a debate on whether slack resources are conducive to innovation. Some scholars from the agency theory perspective treat slack resources as a negative thing, while others from the organizational theory perspective hold a positive view. This paper introduces digital transformation into the analysis of the impact of organizational slack resource on enterprise innovation performance, and explores how digital transformation affects the role of organizational slack resources. Taking the annual observation data of Chinese listed companies from 2000 to 2020 as a sample, this paper using econometric models to examine direct and moderate effects. This paper finds that organizational slack resource is negative to the innovation, and digital transformation reduces the negative effect of organizational slack resource to innovation. This paper proves the incentive effect of digital transformation on enterprise innovation, and provides theoretical and practical guidance for solving the problems of low efficiency of slack resource.
