A Semi-blind Estimation Algorithm in CDMA Dispersive Channels

摘要
A semi-blind method suitable for dispersive channels is proposed, which exploits the information contained within known pilot symbols. Intersymbol interference need to be consider in short-code mobile wireless CDMA measurement and control systems. In order to reduce such intersymbol interference, after a coarse channel estimation with pilot symbols, the unknown symbols can be estimated with the coarse channel estimation, then the refined channel estimation can be reached with the estimated symbols without training sequences, so the algorithm utilizes a few pilot symbols only and doesn't occupy extra bandwidth. Furthermore the proposed algorithm can alleviate the noise effect with means method also. It has lower computational complexity and better performance than that of usual blind algorithm based on second-order statistics.
