摘要
Java is becoming one of the key technologies for mobile phone services. In this paper we present design and implementation of the efficient JAE (Java Application Environment) for mobile phones and the layer-structured flexible software platform on which the JAE runs. The efficiency of the JAE means that we implement user interface functionalities of DoJa profile with the native tiny window system to achieve good performance of the JAE. The flexibility of the software platform means that the platform has a layer-structured architecture and that applications on it can easily be designed and implemented regardless of any other applications on it. Some parts of these technologies are applied to the commercial version of the Java mobile phone.
