摘要
In 2002, Lau, Sin, and Chan (2005) conducted a study on cross-border shopping behavior in Hong Kong. They interviewed 1,000 Hong Kong residents on their shopping behavior in Shenzhen. But things changed, Hong Kong is now a popular city for the one-day visitors from Shenzhen and other neighboring cities of China. We, therefore, decided to conduct an exploratory study, focusing on the shopping behavior of the Chinese female cross-border shoppers in Hong Kong. Findings are quite interesting. These shoppers are conscious on product quality; prefer shopping at the personal care stores and brand-name stores rather than cosmetic chains. In addition, distance matters; they come from neighboring towns and cities.
