摘要
The paper focuses on the fact that managerial skills are culture-specific, and that managing across cultures needs the awareness of this reality. On the level of international management, it is crucial to understand these differences because they create potential issues in company internal communication efficiency and can influence company competitiveness in the global market. The research was carried out in two Asian companies operating in the Czech market. The hypothesis of the research was that both top management and employees are not aware of the fact that culture and cultural values can influence communication and management styles. The paper highlights the urgent need to introduce courses of intercultural communication into Czech university curricula to equip the graduates with adequate knowledge for global market.
