摘要
This paper deals with the analyses of a three-phase synchronous generator with an inset neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnet rotor. This rotor structure produces an inverse saliency effect meaning the quadrature-axis reactance is greater than the direct-axis reactance. As a result of this effect, the generator produces reluctance-torque, improves mechanical robustness and field weakening capabilities. The paper presents some characteristics computed with Finite Element Method (FEM) and highlights some aspects of its performances: air-gap flux density distribution, cogging torque, reluctance torque, electromagnetic torque.
